Coming Together to Depart

Well friends here I am in Philadelphia for the first introduction to this adventure.  I am so glad that i will be sharing this experience with 35 interesting people. The last two days of training were full of interesting topics; cultural awareness, gender roles, and a few introspective analysis (Double Dragon came up :( - hint: illness).  So I'm looking forward...it helps as I leave home.  I will post as soon as all is settled.

Before we start this journey let  me introduce myself.

Born and raised in Connecticut, proud mother of two great kids, and a solid Italian family. I'm also ready to start the next chapter of my life and will embark with Peace Corps to Mozambique, Africa!

I leave in 10 days and am so overwhelmed with the preparation to depart. As I am saying "see you later" to friends, I am dreading kissing my kids and family good bye.
